$60 an hour seems to be the average around here, and the metric mechanics all suck. When I had my last shop open, I charged (and got) $35 an hour for HDs, $125 an hour to wrench on metrics.Too many proprietary parts on the metric bikes. Don't ever go to the dealership for service, unless you live in Biloxi MS. My wife's Intruder is now under recall due to more poor QC at Suzuki, and I'm tempted to haul it down there from Memphis, just becuase the 3 local Suzuki shops suck rocks when it comes to both vehicle and customer service.
It's worth it, at least to me, but then my life has revolved around bikes for pushing 15 years.
